Crucial not cruel: Prohibiting Hari Raya visits is to stop spread of Covid-19, says PM

PUTRAJAYA: The decision to prohibit Hari Raya visits is not a cruel one, but is instead a crucial move to prevent the spread of Covid-19, says Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

In a televised Hari Raya address, Muhyiddin said the Covid-19 situation in the country had worsened with hospitals severely overwhelmed and a highly-contagious variant of the virus had been discovered within the community.
